In 2005 PETER DITTMAR had a retrospective in downtown MUNICH

in the WHITE BOX, an exhibition hall of 1000 square meters.

He showed in a survey 70 paintings form 45 years of work. The paintings were representing his different styles or ways of expression from LANDSCAPE to GESTURE PAINTINGS o ABSTRACT CALLIGRAPHY.

The opening saw 180 visitors and the show was running for 4 weeks and a big success is sales with an accqisition of teh MAERKISCHES MUSEUM in Witten/Ruhr Germany.

The Märkische Museum contains a collection of about 4000 pieces by 20th century German painters and graphic artists. Current developments in contemporary German and international art are also on display in rotating exhibitions.

At the same time was published the book “BETWEEN CULTURES”
